Funds Administration


Vista also incorporates the use of external funds administration services in support of its specialty division bond program.  This service is specifically designed to meet the needs of the surety, contractor and developers in the construction industry.

While acting on behalf of the principal’s internal disbursement administrator, Vista also ensures all project funds are held in trust at a separate commercial bank account at a FDIC insured financial institution.

In addition, Vista is a member of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group of companies which are licensed and regulated by the Departments of Insurance in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.  Liberty Mutual has ratings of A from A.M. Best Company, A2 from Moody’s, and A from Standard & Poor’s.

The Process

Once the principal agrees to the underwriting condition of funds administration prior to the issuance of the surety bond, we work directly with the principal and agent in setting-up the funds administration process with one of several outside vendors.  Once the account is set-up, the funds administrator works with the principal on each disbursement providing them with checks for issuance to their vendors and necessary reporting tools to manage the project.  Each disbursement request is approved by the principal before the disbursement checks are issued.
